WOOOOHOOOO My first published layout!!

Finally - after much angst and a few disappointments, I have a published layout - Yippeee!!!!

It is such a wonderful feeling to see your work in print, especially alongside the well known names of the scrapping world........ There is such creativity and talent out there, I'm amazed I even got a look in!! LOL!!

I can't show the layout for another 2 months, so if you want to see which one, you'll have to just buy Scrapbooking Memories :0) (It's on page 132)

Congratulations also to Julie C from SnB who also got published in SM for the first time this month. Her gorgeous layout is on pg 133 - and it is so cool to make my SM debut with such a lovely, talented lady.

I don't think I've shared these layouts yet - I did them a few week ago, just haven't got around to putting them on my blog....

This one I did using more of the scrummy Cosmo Cricket Snorkel range, it would have to be one of my all time favourite ranges - so bright and funky, with cute little embies hehe.

Just a few photos of the beach, now that Summer is rolling around again, I thought it was time to scrap last year's photos! LOL!

With this one I did a bit of playing with Photoshop - I am slowly learning how to use it, and on Saturday I am off to another course to hopefully learn a bit more! Really looking forward to it!! This layout was done with the cute Sass Lass Me Likey Range - another range that is bright and fun and perfect for Summer layouts

Thank you so much for all your kind comments about my little procedure on Tuesday, after almost a whole day of rest today, I am feeling much better. I won't know the results until tomorrow or early next week.

A Weekend of Scrapping!!!!

Well we have had a quiet weekend this weekend - which made a change from the last couple weekends, with Mark's Mum and Dad visiting, and Mark going away to Brissie last weekend. I actually managed to scrap a few layouts - here are two of them, I'll take photos of another couple soon, and put them up later hehe.
This one I did for the sketch challenge over at Addicted To Craft's Blog. I love using those gorgeous Prima yummies, and had a little play with some stamps and Twinkling H2Os too!

This is one I did for the challenge over at Let's Get Shabby. Shabby is not a style I am very comfortable with, so I figured if I started doing some challenges, it would get me out of my comfort zone, and start my learning curve!! The challenge was to use mainly white or cream, with a hint of one other colour - I chose grey, I love grey and cream together - just such a soft combination - plus it went with the colours in my photo.
I used a combination of Pink Paislee and Heidi Swapp papers, and used some Prima stamps, bling and swirls. I had loads of fun with this getting messy - I painted the background, modge podged some gauze onto my matting paper, (Thanks for the tip, Lisa at SnB!!)used Tim Holtz Crackle Paint on some grungeboard.... Anyways, I ended up being quite pleased with the result - although some tweaking might be in order! LOL!

Anyways, tomorrow is not going to be a very nice day for me, I am getting a bit worked up about it, I am having a CT Coronary Angiogram - due to the fact that my heart has been doing some weird things, and the Stress Test I did came back positve..... I do hope it was a false positive, not a true positive..... Wish my luck......:0(

Some Challenges

Well I have been a rather busy little bee scrapping wise - LOL
First, I finished the White With 1 Challenge, the challenge was to use white (of course) with neutral colours and a vintage embellishment. This is what I came up with:

Scrap the Boys has put up the September Challenge. Here is my CT sample:

This month, you have to scrap a multiphoto layout of your boy's birthday. You need to document who was there, the food the games, everything. The idea is to get the details down before they are forgotten! I don't know about you, but I've been guilty of doing that a couple of times! LOL!

I also managed to do the challenge on the 123 Challenge Blog. The challenge was to use a blurred photo, at least 3 staples and a metal embellishment. This is my entry:

I'm off to get Connor to sleep now, and then - fingers crossed - some scrapping!!!
